Proceeds from the 12th annual KEMOPALOOZA on April 30 will benefit CAMP KEMO Programs of the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands.
CAMP KEMO Programs focus on providing psychosocial support to the families and children affected by cancer and blood disorders. Programs are designed to educate, inspire and support the entire family so life is more manageable and enjoyable. It is important to provide emotional support from the moment of diagnosis through the end of treatment and beyond. This includes late effects clinics for long term survivors and bereavement support for families whose children do not survive. CAMP KEMO Programs are fully funded with community support.
Children and families faced with cancer and blood disorders are cared for at the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands. The center is the oldest and largest facility of its kind in South Carolina.
